Pasien dengan penyakit jantung memiliki kemampuan manajemen diri dan pemantauan gejala dan faktor risiko yang rendah. Kemampuan tersebut seharusnya sudah diberikan melalui pendidikan kesehatan yang menggunakan pendekatan patient centered care. Perlu diidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi pasien infark miokard menurut persepsi pasien, keluarga pasien dan perawat serta membuat perbandingan atas persepsi pasien, keluarga dan perawat tentang kebutuhan informasi pasien infark miokad pada fase akut, fase sub akut dan fase pasca akut. Buku monograf ini menjawab masalah tersebut, dengan cara memaparkan hasil sebuah penelitian deskriptif komparatif, dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survey menggunakan Cardiac Patient Learning Need Inventory (CPLNI). Kebutuhan informasi pasien infark miokard tinggi baik menurut persepsi pasien, keluarga pasien maupun perawat. Terdapat perbedaan prioritas informasi yang diinginkan pasien sesuai dengan proses penyakit dan penyembuhan. Terdapat perbedaan persepsi pasien, keluarga dan perawat terkait kebutuhan informasi pasien infark miokard. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi orisinil pada ilmu pengetahuan terkait kebutuhan informasi pasien pasca infark miokard dan perubahan kebutuhan informasi pasien jantung sesuai dengan proses penyakit dan penyembuhan, serta perbedaan persepsi antara pasien, keluarga pasien dan perawat terkait informasi yang diinginkan oleh pasien pasca infark miokard. Selain menunjukkan kebutuhan informasi yang tinggi pada pasien infark miokard dan perbedaan prioritas informasi yang diinginkan pasien sesuai dengan proses penyakit dan penyembuhan, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan perbedaan persepsi pasien, keluarga dan perawat terkait informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh pasien infark miokard. Untuk itu, penting dilakukan pemberian informasi yang berpusat pada pasien, bersifat individual dan memperhatikan prioritas informasi.
